Kerbside Recycling is arriving shortly……
Household kerbside recycling is commencing in the Parish of St Martin from November 2025. The recycling will be collected from your normal household collection point on the same day as your glass collection. Please ensure that it is put out before 5am, on the day of your collection.
The first dates for collection will be the 20th & 21st November.
In October each household will receive 3 plastic boxes for the following recyclable products. (If you live in an apartment then larger community shared bins will be made available):
Paper & Cardboard – Blue Box or Labelled Bin
Newspapers & Magazines
Cardboard boxes and brown paper
Catalogues and Phone Directories
Paper and envelopes
Wrapping paper and greetings cards
Metal Packaging – Grey Box or Labelled Bin
Metal lids
Clean food and drink cans
Clean foil
Clean metal foils trays
Empty aerosol can
Plastic Bottles – Red Box or Labelled Bin
Plastic bottles
Plastic bottle caps and tops
Additional Guidance:
- Please ensure that all items are clean and empty. As dirty items or those still containing food etc can contaminate the whole waste stream preventing it from being recycled.
- Metal lids should be removed from jars and put in the metal recycling container
- Only plastic bottles and their respective lids should be put in your red box/bin.
- Milk and drink cartons are not currently recycled and should go in with your general refuse.
