Sheep on the Green…..
A small flock of Manx Loaghtan sheep have recently arrived on the Village Green to help graze the wet meadow to the west of the Green as well as the long grass under our small woodland area. Such grazing will not only help keep the grass down but it will also enhance the biodiversity of the area. The sheep are a rare primitive breed and have multi-horns similar to the native sheep which once grazed the coastal slopes of Jersey. For more information please click on the following link:

We do hope you will enjoy visiting the sheep but we would simply ask that you make sure dogs are kept on leads at all times and that you or your children do not touch the electric fencing.
We are enormously grateful to Aaron Le Couteur and his team at The Reserve Jersey for kindly agreeing to graze this area for the Parish. We are certain that the sheep will be a very welcome addition to the other activities on our Village Green
