St Catherine’s Breakwater – Tower Scaffold Notification

Please be advised that a scaffolding tower is currently being erected at the bottom of the slipway at St Catherine’s as part of the ground investigation works.   While the scaffold is being built, it will not be visible when covered by the tide and therefore presents a hazard to both people and vessels.   Once completed, the scaffolding will be 10 metres in height and will remain visible during high tide. Suitable lighting will be installed to ensure the structure can be seen during periods of darkness.   A Notice to Mariners has been issued advising all users to keep a safe distance from the structure, proceed through the area with caution, and minimise wash near the slipway.
