Gorey Pier – Landing Stage Removal Works Update

Ports of Jersey has advised that the scaffold crash deck removal is underway this week following completion of the demolition of the top concrete deck. The concrete support columns will then start to be removed during the following week using a mobile scaffold tower.   The final demolition activity will be the removal of the concrete stairway that provided access to the lower landing stage.   During the final weeks of the project, the team will focus on reinstatement works, including making good the pier edge, installing new handrails and resurfacing areas along the perimeter to leave the site safe, tidy and neatly finished.
